How It Works

"You haven't failed 'til you quit trying"
To understand how a life coaching course can work for you, we need to look at the way our minds work. By this we mean everybody's mind. Though we are all individuals, with our own personalities, there are some basic functions in all our minds that work exactly the same way.
There are many bodily actions and functions that occur every second without our conscious thought. Think, for a moment, of a new computer. You take it out of the box, plug it in and flip the switch ... hey presto, it comes to life and is ready for your instructions. It can do this because it comes pre-programmed with some basic information that it relies on to function. A new born baby is much the same. The infant arrives with a basic program, pre-installed in its brain so that from the instant it arrives in our world, it is able to survive. The brain of the infant knows that the heart has to beat, the diaphragm has to expand and contract in order to draw air into the lungs. There is an incredibly long list of 'reflex' actions that we take for granted, but the brain is in control of these. Did anyone ever teach you that in order to swallow you must flex the epiglottis to cover the voice box so that food isn't drawn into your lungs? Of course not, its a reflex action. But all reflex actions are triggered by the brain, what we would today call the subconscious mind. Thousands of studies through the years have proved that it is, in fact, the subconscious that does most of our thinking, and, therefore, forms the pattern and way we live our lives. It controls our self image, our emotions, our confidence and just about everything else we do in our everyday lives

Reprogramming Negative Thought
Whatever name we may choose to give the process, it boils down to the same thing .... finding a way to tap into, and change the subconscious thought process.
Many of the worlds leading Hypnotherapists believe that all hypnosis is self hypnosis. NLP specialists will often refrain from using the term 'hypnosis' and 'Life Coaches' tend to not make reference to either. It is, however, a simple fact that the most effective training of any kind is that which accesses the subconscious mind and installs a heightened degree of self belief and confidence.
As children, we are particularly prone to this form of conditioning. A child who is repeatedly told that he or she will 'never amount to anything' is far more likely to aspire to that notion than one who is encouraged to believe 'they can', encouraged to try and who are taught that failure isn't, necessarily, a bad thing. Negative thoughts and self doubt can become very deep rooted in our psychological make up. We then tend to reinforce the negative, expecting to be unsuccessful in the fields or lifestyles we would love to achieve.
By learning how to access those parts of our thought process, learning how to preprogram them, we can all experience a much greater success rate in all our endeavors.
I Can't Be Hypnotised!
Many people believe that Hypnosis or self hypnosis requires us to give control of our mind to the hypnotist. This belief is largely born from the general perception of stage hypnosis, and is actually entirely incorrect.
Almost all of us are hypnotised every day of our lives. Many of the things we do, from walking the same route to work, driving a car, making a cup of coffee... we do without much conscious thought. If fact, rather than being 'out of control' a hypnotic or 'trance' state is actually a heightened state of awareness, a condition in which we are open to suggestion. No hypnotist, or any other therapist, can cause you to do things that you, yourself, do not want to do. You cannot be compelled to act in ways which are dangerous to you physically, that are against your own morals or that you would find offensive in a normal 'un-hypnotised' state. If you have been the 'victim' of a stage hypnotist, you may have done silly things to entertain the audience, but if you did not have the will to entertain in the first place, you would not have taken part would you? The hypnotists power lies in the ability to get you to that state of heightened awareness, to open the subconscious and then 'upload' the new, improved 'files' that you have requested.
The key to success in any life coaching course, is not to simply choose a few things you think you'd like, but to focus on your goals and understand why they are so important to you. You have to develop the desire to achieve. This may not be as easy as it sounds. Sure, we'd all like to make more money, live in bigger houses, drive nicer cars. We have to be able to understand why those things are important to us as individuals. A life coach can give you the tools to get there, show you how to use those tools and encourage you along the way, but at the end of the day, the effectiveness of the course lays firmly in your own hands. You just need to approach it one step at a time.
Dare To Succeed!
Everyone of us has areas of our life that we would love to change, goals we would love to reach. A better, brighter future can be yours, you just have to make the choice.
The single, biggest obstacle between most people and a life coaching course is the misconception that courses can only be effective in a one to one or group situation. Not so! Group sessions, particularly work related or business training groups certainly do get results, but this is more likely due to their competitive nature and actually reinforce the fear of failure rather than remove it. Many people avoid these situations through embarrassment or a lack of self confidence which is exactly why they need to make changes in the first place. Life Coach Web courses are conducted entirely through audio, DVD and written products. you choose the pace you want to work at.
Take a look at the changes you can achieve with a life coaching course, you may be surprised to learn how many areas of life can be improved through motivation and positive thought processes.
